A Peek into the Sailing experience

Wind she blows.

Ok.. so maybe not so much a sailing experience, but many non-sailors have asked what its like being on a boat when storms come through, so here’s a little snippet recording from our bed during last night. We didn’t manage to get the worst of it. But you’ll get the idea.

Every time we tried to record it would settle down, perhaps we should have recorded all night :-).
The grey zone is 50kts or over. If you don’t know the force of a wind goes up exponentially so a 20kt wind has 4 times the force of a 10kt wind etc.
