Catamaran: you’ve got a long one, use that traveller

Crash Gybes are not a nice occurrence. Preventers can be a great idea but can also be very hard to rig successfully on some Catamarans.

But you have an advantage, your traveller is so long that you can roll a sail out until it touches your shrouds and still have only a small ease of the mainsheet so that sudden gybe doesn’t have that far to go.

If you’re sailing that deep, BTW, perhaps you should consider not getting pressed and abandon the mainsail for a while?
