Chinese finger puzzels

Lines on a boat, slowly get swollen as they absorb salt and water and also become stiff and inflexible.

Its not unusual for a line to start to have some trouble sliding through clutches etc as they get older and when in need of a fresh water wash.

Trying to push a line through a block or clutch is like trying to escape a chinese finger puzzle by getting frustrated… it’ll never work.

Always pull your lines through from the “out” side of the block or clutch. It’ll all go smoother and with less hassle than would be evident if you start pushing them through.
