TODAY I LEARNED

Its very easy to furl a Genoa from the bow

When it comes to furling the Genoa, especially if there is a bit of a blow, its gets hard to do manually and sometimes you might need to resort to the winch…. Unless you just go forward, sit on the princess seat and furl it in without any friction in the system.

Sorted, quick easy and once, furled I just tidy up the line back at the helm. Obviously not to be done if you are in really strong weather where the bow is launching from wave to wave.

    1. Not sure I’d recommend this on a small mono…. but on Waiata its pretty stable until you really don’t want to go forward for anything without being clip on!!!

One hand for you, one for the boat.
