TODAY I LEARNED

Servicing a Onan Genset in a Lagoon is a right pain.

The Genset space is almost completely taken up with the Genset and this leaves very little space for working as you service it.

There are a few things that make life easier though. Removing the side and top of the enclosure is rather simple and opens up the GenSet a lot allowing better access and definitely better visibility.

The top is held on with 6 bolts, the ones closest to the control panel are easily removed and the ones at the other end are clamps on slotted holes so you don’t even have to completely remove them to remove the top.

Take the time and remove the panelling. It’ll make your life a lot easier. Not easy but easier :-).
