TODAY I LEARNED

Siesta… its good to plan :-).

The thing about cruising is that you’re living in someone else’s country…. it can be good to understand their customers as well.

Many a time we have been caught out by heading into “town” to do some shopping or get a late lunch, only to find Siesta means everything is closed. Or its a national holiday for some reason or other, which might also explain the fireworks and late night parties.

Learning what’s going on around you and what’s important to the locals is part of the fun but also part of living the life of a cruiser.
