When struggling to get a good anchor hold, especially when sea grass is the culprit, breaking up the sandy bottom with its roots, going deeper can be the answer.
We don’t very often find it hard to get a decent grip on the bottom with our 40Kg Rocna, but occasionally we still struggle and often that is cured by simply going deeper.
Out beyond about 13m deep where light struggles to get down to the sea grass the bottom is often cleaner and the sand/mud not riddled with roots.
