When on passage and wanting to conserver power and fresh water, bucketing saltwater makes sense….. but its much easier to just use the deckwash and have a good scrub in the forward cockpit.

Then rinse quickly with the freshwater shower (we have one on the transom).

(My kiwi accent made South African friends think, when I was talking about my deckwash that I was replacing the e with an I… maybe they were right :-))
