When you tie up to a dock, especially when you have done it a hundred times already. Its easy to just tie up as you always do and go and have a beer.

BUT take the time to go back a wee while later, especially as the wind builds or changes and take a look at how things are working.

There is nothing wrong with adjusting, adding or adding extra fenders because the angle of the wind is now creating a pressure point.
